Networking for a Career in the Nonprofit Sector

is often overlooked and the most difficult to execute.  Energize your
job hunt and increase your chances of succeeding by learning how to
network from one of the nation's most widely recognized experts on the
topic: Diane Darling, Founder of Effective Networking

Diane Darling is a published author and professional speaker focusing on
the topic of networking - the people kind vs. technology.  She founded
Effective Networking on the premise that everyone can learn to network,
they just need to find their own style.  Diane is the author of The
Networking Survival Guide and Networking for Career Success and has been
featured in The Wall Street Journal.

She has started nonprofits, worked for them, and is passionate about
supporting the community.  Diane understands first-hand the challenges
of this economy and will share the critical tips and techniques that can

feedback you need to make the most of your nonprofit job search.

This two-hour workshop is designed to help those who are searching for a
job in the nonprofit sector  - you may be entering the field after
college, changing positions within the sector, returning after some time
out of the workforce, or transitioning from the for-profit sector.
Participants will receive an overview of the nonprofit sector in
Massachusetts, develop an "elevator speech" to use in marketing their
candidacy, discuss effective job search strategies, enhance their cover
letters and resumes, and share questions and answers about finding a
position in the nonprofit sector. Participants should bring a sample of
a recent cover letter and their resume.
